Symbols of Israel

Did you know that Hatikvah was never officially declared the Israeli national anthem? "Israelologist" Idit Benmor gave a fascinating talk that and the origins of the Israeli flag, followed by a shawarma and falafel lunch from Hummus World of Roslyn.

Purim on Parade I

Everyone turned out for our Purim festivities! The Nursery School held a dinner and book sale, and then each child made (and wore) a mask before joining the adults for Havdalah. The adults met to read the Megilla, then all got back together for the Purimspiel. Whew!

In Nursery School, Purim was THE event

Purim for our Nursery students went on and on, from the baking of hamentaschen and playing at our nursery Purim carnival, to the grand parade of costumes before the Purimspiel.
